First, created by German designer has already hit the stores. It brings a new aesthetics to women's training: Modularity for the Body in Motion. Second – partnered with Sacai and its designer Chitose Abe - available this spring is a bold expression of sport and style: redefines Nike classics.

[press release] Innovating for the female body in motion is the foundation of the Nike Women design ethos. Partnering with Berlin-based designer Johanna Schneider, Nike brings a new aesthetic to women’s training through a modular capsule collection designed for ultimate versatility.
“For me, clothing is like entering a room. I’m creating environments. And the ideal environment has to be modular,” Schneider says. “On some occasions, I want to be more covered up or I need more support. On other occasions, I want my clothing to breathe; I want it to open up.”
"All garments of the collection are built to move and interact with the female body in motion,” Schneider says. “My idea of feminine silhouettes is a balance of hiding and revealing parts of the body. I don't want the athlete to be distracted by the garment while she is working out."

“I’ve always been inspired by classics,” Abe says. “Working with traditional silhouettes and ideas that often come from utility or performance-based sportswear, I’m interested in creating new hybrids that combine different fabrics and shapes to create an unexpected yet wearable result.”
Abe is a master of dissecting classic and universal garments and reworking them to establish a masculine versus feminine interplay. Her passion for hybrids is apparent in her playful take on materials and in the way she contrasts textures of fabrics such as knits with fine wovens.
